So It Was is the music project of Louisville, Kentucky-based singer-songwriter/musician Daniel Lobb. His self-titled debut album is due out on LP, CD, and digital formats March 1st via OK Recordings.
Stereo Embers is pleased to host the video premiere of a live in-studio performance of “All We Want…” off of So It Was. The video is part of a series titled SofaBurn presents and it was shot at Candyland Recording Studio.
In the performance video Lobb is surrounded by musicians who also appear on the LP; Alexis Marsh on clarinet, Dan Dorff, Jr. on percussion, and producer Daniel Martin Moore on piano.
“All We Want…” is a delicate, flowing acoustic track that floats by reflectively on Lobb’s gentle vocals and strummed acoustic guitar, mellow clarinet, softly struck piano notes, and hushed brushed drum hits. The instrumental rhythmic mix gets stirred up near the end of the song, before it resumes its placid, engaging pace.
