Kelley Deal lays claim to a number of job descriptions: one-half of R. Ring, a member of The Breeders, master of knitting -- to the extent that she has written a book on the topic.
But it's that R. Ring thing that is bringing her back to Arkansas for Valley of the Vapors Independent Music Festival.
"We've been to the festival in Hot Springs, maybe three times," Deal says. "It's a lovely little festival, the best thing ever. Maybe Bill [Solleder, the director] organized it like that, with a mix of stuff. It's so thoughtful, with little bits of this and that and tea and coffee.
