2023 was a huge year for SofaBurn Inc. as we continue our mission of working to help artists build long-term sustaining careers by subsidizing health care costs while providing financial education.
SofaBurn Inc. continued our mission in 2023 of working to help artists build long-term sustaining careers by subsidizing health care costs while providing financial education. This year alone, we saved artists $4,218 in negotiated savings and provided $10,554 in grants. Dental care continues to be our top need. We had 60% growth from 2022 in the amount of applications we received. Thanks to your support, we have greatly expanded our reach.
In 2024, we will provide full insurance coverage for multiple artists which will be over $17,000 in income-based savings and $6,708 in SBI grants. This will have us starting the year with $23k in savings for artists. In August at our annual fundraiser, SofaGives 2023, we raised over $18,000.
SofaGives 2024 will be held August 3rd at The Redmoor in Cincinnati. Tickets will go on sale soon!
