The Light Wires' 'The Invisible Hand' and 'S/T' are now available on streaming platforms

Before tracing his way back to roots and country music, singer Jeremy Pinnell’s husky voice helmed a vessel of genre-bending songs written, recorded and performed under the moniker, The Light Wires. The band, comprised of drummer Rick McCarty, guitarist Andy Hittle and bassist Mike Montgomery recorded a stellar self-titled full-length and played locally and regionally to support it. Sifting their way through Pinnell’s catalog of song stems they wrote and recorded a fantastic follow-up but the band dissolved before the second album was finished. Both albums saw a proper release in 2016 as a 2LP set on the label SofaBurn, and they are now available digitally.

The albums were produced and engineered by Montgomery at his Candyland Recording Studio. Album one features Pinnell’s former singing partner, Arlo McKinley on backing vocals. McKinley also sang backing vocals throughout Pinnell’s debut solo record, OH/KY. McKinley’s Die Midwestern LP is out now on John Prine’s imprint, Oh Boy Records.
