Precious in its execution and earnest in its intent, the musicianship of these band members allow for Peterson’s genuine moments to land without feeling forced or overly-theatric. The heart of the band falls in line with Akron/Family while the head more closely lands near Tortoise. It’s a unique space to occupy, especially for a band so young in their development, which is just as exciting on the debut album as it promises to be for the ones to follow. - Ghettoblaster Magazine
