There is a lot of excitement starting to build up about the Dayton Middle and High School music program. Under the new direction of Dayton alum Steven Schwartz, the music program has offered many opportunities for students to excel in an area they are incredibly passionate about: Concert Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, Select Band, Solo and Ensemble, Northern Kentucky University Symposium, Morehead State University Band Clinic, and the newly formed Dayton High School Winterguard. Outside of the two band classes the music program also includes two guitar classes, and a percussion class which are offered to any student interested grades 9-12.
Naturally, some of these events cost us quite a bit of money and the more our students participate in these activities/events, the more funds we must raise. Grant it, this is a fantastic problem for us to have, but, we absolutely need the communities support to continue to provide these opportunities for our children.
